Hello All, I am working with VB.NET VS2012 and I have a simple calendar with the ability to send a icalendar request via email. (Using SMTPClient) The frame work is working with a few problems...
Here are the issues:
When Outlook receives the file its an attachment. I would prefer that Outlook see it as a native appointment. Currently using a Hotmail calendar to send a calendar request into Outlook the preview windows shows it as a calendar item and allows you to respond in the preview windows. My calendar item is an attachment that requires to be opened.
When I use the "response" it gives an Operation Fail message (I believe this must be in my vCalender header some how..)
When sending to a Hotmail account its blocked.
Lastly, please don't send or suggest links to websites as I have Binged, Goggled and gone cross eyed looking at various solutions and this solution needs to be a VB.NET. What I need is someone with the experience so I can email various aspects ALSO as I am a developer and this is a personal project there is no money just help. If anyone has experience with these types of icalendar issues please message me and let me know.
