check to see if someone has entered thier time today..?

Hi,

I have a form/program that is a reminder for people to enter in the time they worked every day - it works fine. It's a simple pop up reminder program. Just says "please enter your time" and if they click yes it open up our timekeeping program.

But I need to add the ability to query an SQL table and check that they haven't already entered in thier time for that day.

So if they have entered in thier time, then I don't run my reminder program. If they haven't entered in thier time then I'll start my program and remind them.

There is a date field in the SQL table.

Sorry (I'm kinda new at this) I know I need to add some kind of a data source to my vb project and point back to that DB (table) that has the employee date to see if it's null for current day. But I don't know how to go about this other than adding a data source in the data source tab.

Can someone please help me out? Any help greatly appreciated.
